Diamond, Umbrella Cockatoo

Diamond’s previous owner rescued him from a less-than-ideal living situation and cared for him for many years. Due to their own failing health, they chose to surrender Diamond to a true Sanctuary. We were happy to offer refuge for Diamond for the REST of his life after living in multiple homes. Diamond is sure to thrive in the company of an equally intelligent companion, Sadie, an Umbrella Cockatoo already residing with us.

We look forward to when Diamond starts to eat the produce offered to him daily. He hasn’t had much exposure to it, and he does well eating his parrot pellets. However, our caregivers take great pride in providing our residents with the vitamins and minerals their daily diets should consist of. We hope someday Diamond gives that a try! So far, cashews are his favorite new food to try. Fruits, vegetables and other nuts are next, buddy!
