Professional Animal Retirement Center Inc. (d/b/a Black Pine Animal Sanctuary) is the sole owner of any information collected on this site. You may voluntarily submit information including, but not limited to, your name, address, email address, telephone number(s), and answers to relevant questions related to our programs. This information will not be shared, sold, traded, or rented to anyone else.
We will use information you provide to communicate about programs and/or communications you are requesting to participate in or receive, changes in program schedules that may affect you, and/or to improve or enhance our programs and mission. We will only share information as required to mail or ship information or products to you, and only then with trusted third party sources. Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you using the information you voluntarily provide. Such communications will be solely related to our programs, mission, and opportunities we believe may be of interest to you.
Your access to information and control over information
You may opt out of communications from us at any time by submitted your request using our Feedback Form, or by calling the Executive Director at (260) 636-7383. You may review the information we have collected about you upon request to:
- See what data we have about you, if any.
- Change/correct any data we have about you.
- Have us delete any data we have about you.
- Express any concern you have about our use of your data.
While we will do our best to protect your information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk.
Security
We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via this website, your information is protected both online and offline.
We do not collect or store any credit card information. Whenever you provide credit card data to us, it is encrypted and transmitted to a third-party merchant services provider. You can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon at the bottom of your web browser, or looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the web page.
In the unlikely event we receive credit card data from you by telephone or in writing, we will also protect that information “offline” by destroying any hard copy record immediately after utilizing secure systems to process any related orders/purchases/donations. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, to place a verbal order on your behalf) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.
Orders
We request information from you if you make a purchase on this site’s online store. To buy from us, you must provide contact information (like name and shipping address) and financial information (like credit card number, expiration date). We do not collect or retain your credit card information; it is securely encrypted and passed on to a third party merchant processor. We will use contact information to notify you of updates to your order, and/or if we have questions about your order.
